Name

1916 National Convention

Date

1916

Date Range

06/27/1916 - 07/01/1916

Description

Sixty-six delegates, officers, and visitors attended the sixth National Convention, but Alpha chapter was conspicuously missing as Wesleyan had banned sororities in 1914. The 1916 Convention marked the first in which the "Phi Mu Convention Special" train was used, a mode of convention travel that would be used for years to come. Major decisions included expanding to seven Provinces, establishing the first Philanthropic Board, and adopting the official Creed of Phi Mu.
