1931 National Convention

Date Range

06/22/1931 - 06/27/1931

The 13th National Convention included an exhibition of chapter scrapbooks and, for the first time, an award was presented to the chapter with the best scrapbook. Major decisions included removing the single blackball from membership selection (a decision that aligned with changes made by several other national sororities), the addition of Director of Inspections to the National Council, the addition of Convention Marshall to the General Council, and the adoption of the Phi Mu mothers' pin. The convention also affirmed earlier legislation that no two members of the National Council should be members of the same collegiate chapter.
