Description

A group of Phi Mu alumnae pose with a newly planted Magnolia tree near the dining hall at Wesleyan College. Three trees, representing Phi Mu's three founders, were eventually planted in this area of the campus. Bessie Reid Napier (with shovel) was the oldest living Philomathean at the time of the photograph and was the guest of honor at the ceremony.
