Title

War and the Colleges - University of New Mexico

Description

Lowler begins her war account in defense of Western patriotism (often called into question by those in the East) and describes how the war has affected the campus, particularly the loss of male students. The sororities, however, are larger than ever according to Lowler who goes on to describe their work knitting for the Red Cross and that all formal chapter events have been given up in order to cut costs.
