1940 National Convention

1940 National Convention

Five new chapters acquired in the merger with Alpha Delta Theta were welcomed to the 17th National Convention. Legislation centered on philanthropy, as the Healthmobile program was coming to an end. A nutrition service was adopted and the National Council announced a $500 gift to the American Red Cross. Delegates also decided that Phi Mu would support Alpha Delta That's national philanthropy, the Buffalo School library in Kentucky. Leadership changes included creating the position of Social Service Chairman and adding the National Panhellenic Congress Delegate to the National Council.
