1974 National Convention

The 10th anniversary of Phi Mu's support of Project HOPE was celebrated during the 33rd National Convention with colorful HOPE and Phi Mu balloons, as well as a Social Service Dinner complete with dolls dressed in costumes representing the countries the S.S. HOPE visited. The implications of Title IX were addressed during a panel discussion, and a resolution was accepted reaffirming the Fraternity's right to remain an exclusively women's organization. Plans for a new national headquarters building were revealed and approved during the 1974 convention, as well as legislation allowing collegians to have badges made into jewelry.
