First Alumnae Association Chartered, April 1909

Groups of Phi Mu and Philomathean alumnae had gathered together informally for years, but at the second National Convention in 1908, delegates authorized the formation of formal alumnae associations. The first such association, the Chicago Alumnae Association, was granted a charter in April 1909.
