1962 National Convention

1962 National Convention

This convention brought sweeping changes in the governmental structure of Phi Mu. The suggestions of the management consulting firm hired during the 1960 convention were incorporated with extensive changes to the Constitution and Bylaws. These changes included a reorganization of the National Council, dropping the Membership Director and adding Extension Director, Public Relations Director, and two Members-at-Large as well as the formal establishment of the National Executive Committee, consisting of the President, Collegiate Vice President, Alumnae Vice President, and Finance Director. The Associate Council, formerly General Council, was officially eliminated and formal management and planning groups were formed to replace standing boards.
