1968 National Convention

1968 National Convention

Acting upon the resolution of collegiate chapter presidents at the 1967 National Leadership Conference, the 30th National Convention adopted a policy of "no hazing," a policy long urged but not previously included in the Bylaws. For the first time, recognition was given to outstanding Alumnae Advisers and a new advisers' pin was presented to the first five recipients. Also during the 1968 convention, a new concept of chapter programming was introduced, encouraging chapters to schedule one business meeting and three program meetings each month.
